Why Aren't There Any Time Travelers?

There will never be time travel. There won't. People will never be able to go back in time. It's too bad, but that's just the way it is. Of course string theory says that time travel is theoretically possible, but it will never happen. There will never be time travelers. I'll tell you why tomorrow.

This reminds me of a conversation I had with my son recently. I was making the point that 'beaming' people to another location was impossible. They would have to assemble the kidney and liver just right at the other end.

He said "I don't know, I think it can be done"

And that's the beauty of youth. You can't tell them something can't be done. We seniors (?) are jaded from life.

Someone once said "We'll never go to the moon". Luckily young people said "I don't know, I think it can be done"

That's a good point. I am sure that there were far more people saying we couldn't land a man on the moon than said we could. The difference is though that in the case of time travel, if someone does invent it, the "will invent it" become "has invented it". So I still contend that if someone in the future had invented time travel, not only would we have seen time travelers already, we would be ass-deep in them.
