I just got my Smashwords royalties, just a few days after my latest Amazon payment. As you can see from my lovely chart, overall royalties tripled over last quarter. That means that for the last three months I've averaged $384.57 per month. That's not enough to live on, but it's not chump change either. I'd like to see it triple a couple more times.
Money isn't the only way to measure success as an author, but it is a big and an obvious one. This makes me feel like I'm on the right track, like my writing is worthwhile, and dog-gonnit, people like me. I'll keep you informed until I start making "buy a new car" money.
To all of those who contributed to this meager success-- thank you.
